July 12, 2013 – On
to Queen Cove
On our way out of Kyuquot Sound, Colibri and Sea Level
stopped at a highly recommended marine park …. Rugged Point Marine Park …. And
it is SPECTACULAR. (Malahide had opted to leave EARLY in the morning to hit the
ocean while it was relatively calm.) We
anchored inside Kyuquot Channel at McLean Cove and from there, we tendered onto
the beach and had a picnic after which, we hiked a short ways thru the forest
to the ocean side of the peninsula and onto the most stunning stretch of white, beautiful … and EMPTY sandy beach.
The patterns on the sand were absolutely beautiful …..
How happy is Codi right now !?!?!?
After our hike along the beach, we headed back to our dinghys
and ran them back to our boat , pulled up anchor and headed out into the “big
seas” again … Out of Kyuquot and into Esperanza Sound, where we met up with Malahide
in Queen Cove.
We feasted on bbq’d Ling cod and celebrated “our adventures
so far” with Veuve Clicquot!!! J
Tomorrow we are on to Zeballos ....
