WORTH EVERY PENNY !!!
Brooks Peninsula is said to be the most treacherous waters
we have on our coast and I can imagine in certain conditions that would be the
case. But between our ROCK STEADY boat (LOVE
this boat !!), scopolamine patches and prayers for a safe and enjoyable passage,
we navigated around Brooks Peninsula with NO PROBLEM !!
Again, the sun shine punched through the clouds as a reminder that
my prayers were being heard … and answered !
J ... just sayin' ....
Heading out into Brooks Bay and towards Brooks Peninsula, we had 8.5 kn winds on our beam with 1.5 M seas at 7 second intervals …. at Cape Cook (northwest corner ) winds increased to 18-22 kn and as we rounded
the corner and headed south down the face of the peninsula, seas were about 2 meters at 8 seconds with winds 15-20 kn with winds at our stern … scopolamine
patches worth every penny!!! J Once we got around the south corner of
Brooks (Clerke Point) , the winds died down to 8.5 kn and the seas were calm !!!
Bunsby Islands here we come !!!!!
Relieved to hear you are safe and having a wonderful time. Will be more relaxed when the Talbots rejoin the group. Loving the blogs and especially the photos...just glorious!!! Laura Cardno.
