Into “town” and back to Browning Inlet
Apparently we DO have reciprocity with Port Alice Yacht club!! Call ahead and a very kindly man (Errol
Stewart) will meet you at the gate and welcome you to Port Alice …. a CHARMING
little community with 800 people and a GREAT little grocery store. WOO HOO !!!
I was hardly excited at all to see, not only proper shopping
carts, but fresh bread and beautiful, fresh produce. ( Just in time before
scurvy set in ….)
Armed with my kaiser buns, oranges and Brussels sprouts etc,
the Talbots and I headed back to Julian Cove where we enjoyed the HOT sun and
some lunch and pulled up anchor about 2pm.
We are headed back down Quatsino Sound to North Harbor and
farther up into Browning Inlet where we will wait for a day or so until the
weather clears and we can head around Brooks Peninsula without dying.
Penny, Diana and Christopher are hoping to get out early
tomorrow am and do some fishing!!
(Cameron and I are hoping to enjoy a delicious halibut or
salmon dinner tomorrow night!!) :-0
Stay tuned ….. (internet gets a bit sketchy where we are
going, so I’m going to post NOW while I can.)
PS - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TESS !!!! :-)
Ahhhh this is all so gob-smackingly gorgeous. I can almost smell the fresh air with the crack of crispness in the morning. Lovely photos Kim. Sue xoxo
ReplyDeleteContinue to love the updates and the pics are amazingly gorgeous. Just left Laura at the airport, and will probably head off ourselves Wednesday, weather and wind permitting. Thinking Tugboat ...but still need to provision ourselves before we set off. Weather has finally stopped blowing and is quite calm, so it's heading your way!
DeleteEnjoy your trip, if you get away ...
DeleteIt looks like the weather has been HOT in Vancouver ! NICE !!
